The
Arts Council of Moore
County (ACMC) is a nonprofit organization celebrating over 30 years of
promoting awareness and appreciation of the arts in Moore County, NC. Whether
you're engaged in the arts as an audience member, a donor, an educator, an
artist, or all of the above, ACMC is your Moore County arts advocate. Through
the power of the arts and the support of its members, ACMC will continue into
the next 30 years fulfilling its mission: Support, Promote and Develop the Arts
and Arts Education throughout Moore County!
To fulfill its mission, ACMC
offers programs and services in the following three main areas:
ACMC supports our artists:

ACMC supports the arts for our children:
ACMC believes that a bright
future lies in the hearts and minds of our young people. Presenting and
supporting arts programs and arts education programs for our children will
insure they have the best possible conditions for a complete education and a
bright future. ACMC’s youth division is called Moore Creative Arts (MCA), and
is an extensive series of arts programs that include:
-
MCA Theater
- MCA Theater creates a place for children to take center stage and explore
their imaginations through the magic of theater. At least twice a year,
professional directors lead children in grades K-8 through the theater
process-from auditions to final performances.
-
Young People's Fine Arts
Festival - Held
every March, this art competition features the artistic talents of Moore
County students in grades K-12. All entries are judged and exhibited at
Campbell House Galleries.
-
Performing Arts in Moore
Schools (PAMS) Program

every Moore County student a positive experience with a professional
performing artist. Artists are chosen because of their commitment to education
and quality of performance.

audience. Performances may include children's theater, storytellers, puppet
theatre, films, musicians and more.

who wish to pursue an area of the arts at a summer program or through private
lessons.
