Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities

WM's Note : If you have not been here, I recommend it.

Set in a historic literary home on twenty beautiful acres in Southern Pines, Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities has flourished as a cultural center since 1979, with an established chamber music series and lecture series along with horticultural programs, a fall Supper on the Grounds and a Christmas Open House.

The chamber music series features nationally and internationally known chamber musicians and performers from the music facilities of North Carolina's universities.  Local youth participate in the Young Musicians Competition.

The Ragan Writers Series hosts readings by a diverse group of North Carolina's highly acclaimed writers.  The lecture series features a variety of subjects presented by prominent professors and educators.  Weymouth provides a home for the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame and offers a writers-in-residence program for published North Carolina writers.
