Presidential Similarities
Remarkable similarities have been found that
connect the late American presidents, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
Both these men were assassinated. Lincoln’s assassin, John Wilkes Booth, was
born in 1839; Kennedy’s killer Lee Harvey Oswald, was born in 1939. Both
presidents were shot in the head from behind, on a Friday, and in the presence
of their wives. Lincoln’s secretary, whose name was Kennedy, advised him not
to go to the theatre where he was assassinated; Kennedy’s secretary, whose
name was Lincoln advised him not to go to Dallas, where he was assassinated.
Abraham Lincoln was elected in 1860 and John F. Kennedy was elected in 1960!

Vanishing Vessel
The Gaul was the most modern trawler of its
day. It was equipped with the latest technology and was designed to withstand
all extremes of weather. The people of its home port, Hull, England,
nicknamed it The Unsinkable. In February, 1974, the ship disappeared without
a trace with 36 men on board. Relatives of the lost crew refused to believe
it. They thought that perhaps the vessel had been kidnapped by a foreign
power, but the Gaul’s disappearance has never been solved.

Disappearance in the Desert
Two British Royal Air Force pilots, Lieutenants
Day and Stewart, crashed in the Iraqi desert in 1924. Rescuers rushed to the
scene as fast as they could. There was no sign of the two men. Their
footprints were visible in the sand for a short distance from the wrecked
plane. Then the prints suddenly stopped. The pilots were never heard of
again, and no logical explanation for their disappearance has ever been given.

The Diamond Shoals Ghost Ship
The cargo schooner Carroll Deering was found
aground on Diamond Shoals, North Carolina, on January 30, 1921. Her sails
were still set but there was no one on board, except for two cats. A meal was
set on the table but it had not been touched. The vessel had been sighted the
previous day and had appeared quite normal. There was no clue as to what had
happened to the crew, and until this day, no one knows what happened to the
crew of the ghost shop of Diamond Shoals.
